About

Our Therapists

Licensed professionals who pair clinical expertise with a lifetime around horses.

Susan, or “Susie,” became a licensed physical therapist in 1995 after completing bachelor’s degrees in both Exercise and Sports Science and Physical Therapy. While attending school she immediately realized her passion was helping children with special needs to grow, find success, and improve their quality of life. While working as a physical therapist, Susie earned a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2006.

Susie provided therapy services to children ages 0–22 for 25 years, and spent her last 17 years as an Early Interventionist in the Jordan School District. She had the great privilege of working with amazing, dedicated families and their beautiful babies, ranging from ages 0–3 with a variety of diagnoses and abilities.

As she began to consider retirement, Susie knew she would continue to work with children but wanted to couple that with horses. She completed her Hippotherapy Treatment Principles courses and began researching the process of establishing a nonprofit organization. That’s when she got a phone call from Robby and Mac. The rest is history.

Susie loves traveling and spending time with friends, family, and her three dogs.

Susan Redmond, PT, DPT

Director, Therapist, and Horse Rescue

Mac became an LCSW in 1994 and has made it his life’s goal to always help other people.

He has worked with both juveniles and adults throughout his career, helping them through any handicaps or trauma they have had to cope with in their lifetimes. He worked for DCFS for ten years as an investigator and at several therapy clinics, all while keeping a focus on equine-assisted therapy with his partner “China” by his side.

Over the past several years, Mac has been able to focus more on Unbridled Hope and Healing and help his clients find success from the program, for horse and human alike.

Mac has been married to his wife Paula for 25 wonderful years and is beyond grateful for her standing by his side through all of his work. Mac enjoys spending his time with the horses. While he is a bit shy, his dogs are far from it, so please scratch their ears if they are around.

Robert, or “Robby” as he’s known, has been helping youth and families for a couple of decades.

What sets him apart is his experience and licensure: he is a clinically licensed horse expert. This expertise includes LCSW licensure, NOJOS certification, EAGALA certification, and OK Corral certification. Robby has over twenty years of experience doing therapy using horses. He has expertise working with youth with Asperger’s syndrome, oppositional defiant youth, ADHD, borderline personality disorder, depression, and others. He also has experience in family and individual therapy, couples therapy, and working with groups.

Some of the skills worked on during sessions with horses include coping mechanisms for anxiety and trauma, depression, learning how to communicate, assertiveness, and more.

Robby loves his family and the great outdoors.
